Who We Are

Sentinel Standard is an independent product review publication focused on ergonomics and well-being. We believe that the products you use every day — your chair, your keyboard, your mattress, your standing desk — have a profound impact on your health and quality of life.

Our team brings together expertise in ergonomics, physical therapy, product design, and technology. We combine hands-on testing with research-backed criteria to deliver reviews that are genuinely useful.

Our Review Methodology

Every product we review goes through a structured evaluation process:

1. Research phase. We study the manufacturer's claims, read existing research on the product category, and identify the criteria that matter most.
2. Hands-on testing. We use each product for a minimum of two weeks in real-world conditions. For items like chairs and desks, our testing period extends to 30 days or more.
3. Comparative analysis. We evaluate products against others in their category, considering build quality, ergonomic design, adjustability, value, and durability.
4. Honest reporting. We document both strengths and weaknesses. If a product falls short, we say so — regardless of any affiliate relationship.

Why We Exist

Too many product reviews are thinly disguised advertisements. We started Sentinel Standard because we were frustrated by review sites that prioritize commissions over accuracy. Our readers deserve better.

We earn revenue through affiliate links (see our disclosure page), but our editorial process is independent of our business relationships. A product earns our recommendation only when we believe in it.
